Q What prompted you to join a RestorixHealth wound center as a panel provider?
A Over 20 years ago, I began working in a RestorixHealth wound center to offer comprehensive, advanced wound care modalities and therapies to my patients, such as advanced compression therapy, cellular, acellular and matrix-like products (CAMPs) (skin substitutes) and hyperbaric oxygen (HBO2) therapy, which are unavailable in the traditional office setting. These reasons remain one of the best benefits of joining one of our wound center’s provider panels.
Q What is the advantage to having a Regional Medical Director supporting your wound center and its panel providers?
A The Regional Medical Director serves as a resource to our centers, spreading our knowledge of the standards of care and use of advanced modalities for the best interest of our patients. Panel providers who are new to providing wound care or who face questions regarding patient care can find support in our team of Regional Medical Directors. It is great to know that you are not alone but instead have a network of trusted, experienced providers who understand what you are going through.
Q What makes working in a RestorixHealth wound center unique?
A RestorixHealth has clear guidelines for the standard of care which promote optimal results. Providers know exactly what is expected, are given the tools to succeed and can easily find support through various avenues, like training, continuing education, billing and administration.
Q What is your favorite part about working in wound care?
A My favorite part about working in wound care is the ability to make a difference in the lives of our patients. Every day, I help people who are in need and dealing with very difficult non-healing wounds of all types. I can improve their outcomes by offering them a variety of comprehensive, advanced wound care therapies personally tailored to their wound type, underlying conditions and lifestyle factors.
